I just finished crocheting this baby blanket called Vertical Shells. It was a blanket kit from Mary Maxim. The pattern was a little hard to follow and a lot of counting but it turned out very nice.

Peach Cuddle Sack and Donation Totals

I crocheted this cuddle sack with matching hat a couple days ago while spending time at the hospital with my grandson. Then today we made out last donations of the year. 170 items to Help For Kids here in Myrtle Beach. Our total for the year is 858 items. Now we will be crocheting and loom knitting for 2014.

Donations and Pink and White Ripple Baby blanket

While visiting our 20 year old grandson Erick in the hospital today, we donated 57 baby blankets, cuddle sacks and hats. Erick got to go down to the nursery with us when we made the donation to the nurses. I think it was great for him to see where some of our donations go.

Then I finished up this pink and white ripple blanket this afternoon.

4 Baby Blankets

I have been crocheting baby blankets this week. These four blankets are made using the twin stitch pattern and Pound of  Love yarn. They measure about 32 inches by 32 inches.

Popcorn Squared Baby Blanket in Yellow

This was a fun blanket to crochet and the pattern went very fast. As the pattern didn't have a finished edging, I just did a simple double crochet then a single crochet for the edging.

68 Hats and Donations

Here are Frank's latest loom knitted hats. A few of them I crocheted. Also today we donated 324 loom knitted hats and crocheted baby items to Help 4 Kids.They really appreciate the donations and we love making them.

Too much yarn???

I went to AC Moore this morning and got some yarn on sale. After we got home a package of yarn was delivered. With what I got yesterday I think I have almost enough yarn to get me through the winter. I say almost because there will probably be another good sale coming up.

Christmas at my house today....

 

It seemed likeChristmas at our house today. Got a large box of yarn from Joann's and the new bedspread I ordered from Country Store. Joey wasted no time getting on the bed to check it out.

Tomorrow I am delivering a blanket, sweater, hat and booty set for a young lady that is expecting a baby boy any day now and has nothing. I get such a good feeling when I am able to help someone. Red Lady Bug Baby Blanket

I finished this blanket tonight. I wasn't sure about using red yarn but babies like bright colors so I used red. The lady bug pattern is from The Baby Crow. I just did one lady bug then double crocheted around it to measure about 30 x 32 inches. I think I will crochet a little hat to match this red blanket.
