2 Cuddle Sacks/Hats and a Diaper Shirt/Hat and Booties

Here is what I have been crocheting lately...cuddle sacks with matching hats and a diaper shirt, hat and matching booties. Try to use up leftover yarn from larger project.

Chemo Turban Hat Pattern

H Hook

4 Ply Soft Yarn (Simply Soft, I love This Yarn etc.)

Round 1: Ch 4, slip st together, ch 2, (Do not count ch 2) 12 dc in center of ring, slip stitch to 1^st dc. (12dc)

Round 2: Ch 2, (do not count as first dc from now on), 2 dc in same st as ch 2 and in each st around. Join with a slip stitch in first dc. (24 sts)

Round 3: Ch 2, *dc in 1 st, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a slip stitch in first dc. (36 sts)

Round 4: Ch 2, *dc in 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a slip stitch in first dc. (48 sts)

Round 5: Ch 2, *dc in 3 sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a slip

stitch in first dc. (60 sts)

Round 6-15: Continue around. Ch 2, dc in each stitch (60 sts)

Round 16: Ch1, sc in each stitch around. Finish off. (60 sts)

Take a long piece of yarn (about 36 in.) thread a needle and push it into the top of round 6 and bring it up through the bottom of the hat and pull tightly, keep repeating winding until knot looks tight and nice. Finish off and hide the loose ends under the knot.

 

24 Chemo Turban Hats for a Special Project

I just finished the 24 chemo hat this morning. My cousins wife is a nurse at a Des Moines hospital and asked me to make some chemo hats to be donated there. I love the look of the turban hats so crocheted 24 of them. I made my own pattern after looking at several pictures. I used Simply Soft yarn and 4 ply baby yarn to keep the hats soft.

Frank's Last Loom Knitted Hats

Here are 59 hats Frank loom knitted. He has to quit working with yarn as he has developed a bad rash on both hands and arms and onto his face. We are pretty sure it is caused from the dye in yarn. He is seeing a dermatologist and is using meds. for the itching and blistering. He has stopped using the yarn for several days now and his face has cleared up and his hands are showing improvement. He is so unhappy he has to stop making hats. He loves to help children and the homeless keeping them warm in the winter. Right now I got him some adult coloring books and that helps him pass the time.

 

12 Point Round Ripple

I wasn't sure about the colors in this baby blanket, but after it was done I really like it. I used Caron Cakes with a H hook. The color is Cake Pop.

Granny Square Baby Blanket

Here is another baby blanket finished. I did the granny square pattern with 3 colors. I used a g hook.

Great Buy on Yarn!

YARN! I scored big! I went to my Dollar Tree store this morning and found yarn which I have never seen there before. I got all of this for $15. Retail would be $86. WOW! I am so happy!

Blue and White Baby Blanket

I finished another baby blanket. I used The Call The Midwife pattern and a g hook. On to the next one now.

Ripple Baby Blanket with Matching Hat

I decided to try some different colors for this ripple baby blanket and a matching hat.. The yarn is Willow Fawn and the colors are orange peel, scrambled, baby blues, and peas. I love how it turned out.
