2 Sweater Sets for the Babies

Here are two sweater sets I crocheted this weekend. They will be donated to our local hospital.

Honey Bee Cuddle Sack with Matching Hat

HONEY BEE CUDDLE SACK AND MATCHING HAT

Lions Brand Pound of Love yarn in yellow honey bee color  (about  5 - 6 oz.)

G Hook

Measures about 10 x 18 inches

Round 1: Ch3,  12 dc in 3^rd ch from hook, Join with a slipstitch

                in first dc (12sts)

Round 2: Ch 2, (do not count as first dc) 2 dc in each st. around. Join with a slipstitch in

                first dc. (24 sts)

Round 3. Ch 2, *dc in 1^st st, 2 dc in next st,* repeat from * around. Join with a slipstitch    

                 in first dc. (36 sts)

Round 4: Ch 2, *dc in 2 sts, 2 dc in next st,*  repeat from * around. Join with a slipstitch

                in first dc. (48sts)

Round 5: Ch 2, dc in 3 sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a slipstitch

                in first dc. (60 sts)

Round 6:  Ch 2, *dc in 4 sts, 2 dc in next st,*  repeat from* around. Join with a slipstitch

                  in first dc. (72dc)

Round 7: Ch3, dc in back loops only in each st around. Join with sl st. 

Round 8 – 32: Repeat round 7.

Round 33: Ch1, sc in same space (both loops), sc in each st around. Join with a sl st  and finish  off. Weave in any ends.

                   

HAT

Round 1: Ch 4, slip st together, ch 2, (Do not count ch 2) 16 dc in center of ring, slip

                Stitch to 1^st dc. (16 dc)

Round 2:  Chain 2, 2 dc in same st,  2 dc in each dc around, sl st to 1^st dc. (32 dc)

Round 3: Chain 2, *dc in same st, dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, repeat from* around.

                Sl st  in 1^st dc. (48 dc)

Round 4:  Ch 3, dc in back loops only of each st around. Join with a sl st.. 

Round 5 –9: Repeat round 4.

Rounds 10 – 11: Ch 1, sc in both loops in each st around. Weave in all ends and finish off.

Here are a couple more cuddle sacks with matching hats I did this week while baby-sitting. I have another one done but want to write the pattern up so I can post both the picture and pattern together.

The Blues Granny Square Baby Blanket

Here is another granny square baby blanket. I used all Pound of Love yarn, in blue, denim and white.

Pink Baby Blanket

I finished crocheting this baby blanket late tonight. I make up the pattern as I went along. I used dc, sc, bobble stitch and the x stitch. I used Lions Brand Pound of Love yarn with a H hook.

Parfait Print Cuddle Sack with Hat

Here is another little cuddle sack with matching hat for a newborn baby. I used Lions Brand Baby Soft yarn. The color is parfait print. So very soft.
