I decided to post my pattern for the Yellow Cuddle Sack. Since I used the puff stitch, I decided to name it the Puff and Stuff Cuddle Sack. Since this is the only one I have made, this pattern is untested. If you make it, please leave me feedback if you find any mistakes.
PUFF AND STUFF CUDDLE SACK
MATERIALS
Bernat Baby Sport Yarn
Crochet hook size G (4mm)
PUFF STITCH: To work Puff St * YO, insert hook in st indicated, YO and pull up a loop even with loop on hook; repeat from * 2 more times, YO and draw through all 7 loops on hook, ch 1 to close.
Round 1: Ch3, 12 dc in the 3rd ch from hook. Join with a slipstitch in first dc. (12 sts)
Round 2: Ch 2, (do not count as first dc from now on), 2 dc in each st. Join with a slipstitch in first dc. (24 sts)
Round 3: Ch 2, *dc in 1 st, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a slipstitch in first dc. (36 sts)
Round 4: Ch 2, *dc in 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a slipstitch in first dc. (48 sts)
Round 5: Ch 2, *dc in 3 sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a slipstitch in first dc. (60 sc)
Round 6: Ch 2, *dc in 4 sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a slipstitch in first dc. (72 dc)
Round 7: Ch 2, *dc in 8 sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a slipstitch in first dc. (80 dc)
Round 8: Ch2, *dc in 15 sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from* around. Join with a slipstitch in first dc. (85dc)
Round 9: Ch2 * dc in 8 sts, chain 1, skip 1 st, work Puff St in next st, skip next st, work puff st in next st, skip next st, work puff st in next st, skip next st, work puff st in next st. ( should have 4 puff stitches) chain 1, skip one st. Reapeat from * around. Ending with 4 puff stitches, skip last st and join with a slipstitch in first dc.
Round 10: Ch2* dc in 8 sts, chain 1, skip 1 st. work puff st in chain 1 closing of each of next 4 puff sts. chain 1, skip next st, repeat from * around. Join with a slipstitch in first dc.
Rounds 11 - 36: Repeat round 10.
Round 37: Ch 1. sc in the first 8 dc, 1 sc in ch-1 space, sc in ch-1closing on next puff st, sc in space before next puff st and in ch-1 closing of next puff st, 3 times. sc in next ch-1 sp, * sc in next 8 dc and in next ch-1 space, sc in ch-1 closing of next puff st, sc in space before next puff st in ch-1 closing of next puff st 3 times, sc in next ch-1 space, repeat from* Join with a slip stitch.
Round 38: Ch1. sc in each sc around. Join with a slip stitch and finish off. Weave in any loose ends.
HAT
Same yarn and hook as for sack
Beg ch 2 does not count as a stitch in this pattern.
Beginning at top of hat, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring.
Roun1: Ch 2, 13 dc in ring, join with a sl st in first dc. 13 sts.
Roun2: Ch 2, 2 dc in in each st around, join with a sl st in first dc, 26 sts.
Round 3: Ch 2, dc in first st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st, repeat from * around ending with 2 dc in last st, join with a sl st in first dc. 39 sts.
Round 4: Ch 2, *dc in first two sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around, join with a sl st in first dc. 52 sts.
Rounds 5 - 8: Ch 2, dc in each st around, join with a sl st in first dc. 52 sts.
Round 9: Ch 2, sk 1 st, * puff stitch in next dc, sk 1 st, puff stitch in next dc, * repeat around ending with skip last dc and join with a sl st in top of ch 2.
Round 10: Ch 2, work puff st in chain 1 closing of each puff st around, join with a sl st in top of ch 2.
Round 11: Ch 2 work puff st in chain 1 closing of each puff st around, join with a slt st in top of ch 2.
Round 12: Ch 1, * sc in space before next puff st, sc in ch-1 closing * repeat around, join with a slip stitch.
Round 13: C1, sc in each sc around. Join and finish off. Weave in ends.
