This picture of this swan was shared in one of my crochet lists on Yahoo. No information came with it but someone sure did a lovely job crocheting it. Click on the picture to get a close up view.
My name is Sylvia. I love the swan. My mother made a collection of swans in different sizes from a pattern she got from a magazine in England many years ago. Delicate lace wings and looking proud. I think I still have the pattern somewhere so I will look it up and see if I can scan it. It is a large pattern that was folded and stapled into the magazine so it may be difficult but I will try. Do you want me to send it to you to post? I have enjoyed browsing through your blog, accessed through Hooked on Crochet, and I am impressed by the amount of things you and your husband donate. Keep up the good work. I am just starting to make things to donate now, having just recently retired myself. Thank you for the inspiration.
Oh my goodness! How stunning!
