Halloween and Candy Corn

Frank and I decided to make candy corn hats and cuddle sacks for the Halloween babies born this year. Here are our fist ones done. These will go to Gods Tiny Angels and Lil_troopers.

  3. Very cute and I'm sure they will put a smile on the faces of the parents who have so many concerns with having a preemie.

  6. Clicked on picture to make it bigger and here I am again with another question for you. Is the sack like making a hat and you just keep going? Or is there an opening?

  7. Sandy, I used the twin stitch cuddle pattern I designed. It can be found here: http://karensgardenofcolors.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2009-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&updated-max=2010-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&max-results=50
or Nov 11, 2009 in the archives. Also did a simple double crochet starting with the basic bottom of the twin stitch pattern. They are closed at the bottom and open at the top. I crocheted these, but you can loom knit the sleep sacks also. Not sure of the exact amount of yarn, but I would guess about half the amount of crocheting a baby blanket.
