Yellow Be A Friend Shawl

Here is the shawl I finished crocheting tonight for my 85 year old aunt in Iowa. The pattern can be found on the Red Heart web site. I used a J hook and Red Heart Super Saver yarn in bright yellow.

Creamsicle Easter Outfit

Here is another little Easter dress, hat and booty set. I use Lions Brand Pound of Love in the creamsicle color. Now I am going to take a short break from crocheting baby items and crochet a shawl for my very dear 85 year old aunt. I will post a picture when done.

Easter Dress to go with Pink Turban

New Born Baby Turban Hat


Lions Brand Pound Of Love Yarn
G Hook

Round 1: Ch 4, slip st together, ch 2, (Do not count ch2 as a stitch) 16 dc in center of ring, slip stitch to 1st dc. (16 dc)

Round 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in same st, 2 dc in each dc around, sl st to 1st dc. (32 dc)

Round 3: Ch 2, dc in same st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st,* repeat from * around. Sl st in 1st dc. (48 dc)

Round 4: Ch 2, dc in back loop of same dc, dc in back loop of each st around, sl st in both loops of 1st dc. (48 sts)

Round 5 – 10: Repeat round 4.

Round 11: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc around, sl st  to join and finish off. Weave in any ends.


Take 2 strands of yarn about 36 inches each and using your yarn needle wrap yarn from top of first round of ridge (round 4) and under the edge of hat and pull tight. Wind it about 7 or 8 times to make your knot on the turban. Secure yarn and weave in ends.

Here is a picture of my baby doll Bubbles wearing her new turban hat. I wasn't really happy with the first hat I made and thought I could make a better fitting on so I came up with this one. After making another one I will post my pattern here.
