Cuddle Sack and matching hat

Here is my latest cuddle sack and matching hat. Haven't crocheted many baby items this past week with daughter and her husband visiting. And they requested a queen size bedspread with pillow shams so Frank and I have been taking turns crocheting on it. Will post a picture when finished.

Family visiting from Pa.

Our daughter Marie and our son-in-law Brent are visiting us from Pa. this week. Grandson Erick was over for dinner last night and we watched videos from when Marie was a little girl and when Erick was born.

Such fun!!!

Size:  About 10” x 20”

Shell Stitch: 5 dc

Round 1. Ch 4, sl st to close, 12 dc in ring. Join with a sl st to first dc. (12 sts)

Round 2. Ch 2,(do not count as first dc) 2 dc in each st around. Join with a sl st to first dc. (24 sts)

Round 3. Ch 2, *dc in 1^st dc, ( same st as your ch 2) 2 dc in next st,* repeat from * around. Join with a sl st in first dc. (36 sts)

Round 4. Ch2, *dc in 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a sl st in first dc. (48 sts)

Round 5. Ch 2, *dc in 3 sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a sl st in first dc. (60 sts)

Round 6. Ch 2, *dc in 4 sts, 2 dc in next st,*  repeat from * around. Join with a sl st in first dc. (72 sts)

Round 7: Ch 2, dc aournd increasing 6 dc stitches evenly around. Join with a sl st in first dc. (78 sts)

Round 8:  Sl st in to next dc, sl st in to next dc, ch 3, 4 dc in same st, skip 2 dc, dc in next st, skip 2 sts,  *shell in next dc, skip 2 dc, dc in next st, skip 2 sts*. Repeat from * around. Join with a sl st. (13 shells)

Round 9 - 32 : Sl st in to next dc, sl st in to next dc, ch 3,  4 dc  in same st,  skip 2 sts, dc in next st, skip 2 sts, *shell in next st, skip 2 sts, dc in next st, skip 2 sts.* Repeat from * around, Join with a sl st.

Round 33: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc around joining with a sl st. Finish off and weave in any ends.

Hat

Round 1. Ch 4, sl st to close, 12 dc in ring. Join with a sl st to first dc. (12 sts)

Round 2. Ch 2,(do not count as first dc) 2 dc in each st around. Join with a sl st to first dc. (24 sts)

Round 3. Ch 2, *dc in 1^st dc, ( same st as your ch 2) 2 dc in next st,* repeat from * around. Join with a sl st in first dc. (36 sts)

Round 4. Ch2, *dc in 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a sl st in first dc. (48 sts)

Round 5 -9:  Sl st in to next dc, sl st in to next dc, ch 3, 4 dc in same st, skip 2 dc, dc in next st, skip 2 sts,  *shell in next dc, skip 2 dc, dc in next st, skip 2 sts*. Repeat from * around. Join with a sl st. 

Round 10 –11: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc around, join with a sl st. Finish off after round 11 and weave in any ends.

63 Hats and a Scrap Lapghan

Frank has been busy loom knitting hats and crocheting a scrap lapghan. There

will be some warm kids this coming winter!

Two Cuddles Sacks for Baby Boys

Here are two cuddle sacks with matching hats for some baby boys. These will be donated to our local hospital.

Blue and White Granny Stripes Baby Blanket

Finished up another baby blanket tonight. I used the granny stripes pattern with Lions Brand Pound of Love yarn and an H hook.
